In 2011, Serono Symposia International Foundation has made a strong commitment to medical education in oncology and is developing live events such as workshops, expert meetings and preceptorships, online activities, and other programs that will focus on key issues in oncology and the multidisciplinary approaches to patient management.

SSIF's programs involve internationally recognised faculty members, dedicated to the continuing medical education of healthcare professionals, and provide opportunities for debate and discussion.

SSIF has also become the CME provider for the Medical Education Initiative on Molecular Targeted Therapy of Cancer (MTTC).
