Understanding Female Infertility

The Symposia concentrated on minimal invasive techniques in the exploration and treatment of female infertility. Special attention was given to the physiology of ovulation and implantation and to minimal invasive techniques in the exploration of the female reproductive tract. New approaches in infertility treatment were highlighted focusing on endometriosis, ovarian surgery and the use of new ovulation induction possibilities with GnRH antagonists. Experts in the field were invited to share their knowledge.

OBJECTIVES

The meeting provided a forum for discussion by international experts in the field of minimally invasive techniques in the exploration and treatment of female infertility. At the conclusion of the program, participants were able to:

  • Describe the physiology of ovulation and implantation
  • Discuss the merits of minimally invasive techniques in exploration of the female reproductive tract
  • Describe new approaches to infertility treatment, focusing on endometriosis, ovarian surgery and the use of GnRH antagonists.
