The aim of this two-day conference is to give an overview of revolutionary advances in the stem cell field that may potentially impact human reproductive medicine.
This program covers the production/regeneration of female and male germ cells, trophoblasts and endometrium from human embryonic and adult stem cells. The new developments in hESC derivation that will impact its clinical use will also be discussed. Lastly, cutting edge technologies such as reprogramming, nuclear transfer and imprinting will be addressed in relation to reproductive medicine.
This program has received an endorsement by the International Consortium of Stem Cell Networks (ICSCN), the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the Spanish Fertility Society (SFS).
OBJECTIVES
After attending this conference, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the production/regeneration of female and male germ cells, as well as trophoblasts from embryonic stem cells.
- Isolate and identify adult progenitor cells in the human ovary and endometrium.
- Understand the new developments in hESC derivation that will impact clinical use.
- Discuss cutting edge technologies such as reprogramming, nuclear transfer and imprinting in relation to Reproductive Medicine.
