Rome, Italy
October 5 - October 6, 2007
The aim of the conference is to analyze the diverse surgical techniques, including a live session on endoscopic surgery, used to treat sterility as well as discuss whether there is an effective need to undergo surgery for purely reproductive purposes as an alternative to, or in association with, the current pharmacological therapies to treat infertility. Renowned national and international experts will confront their respective experiences on gynecological issues that have as yet not reached a consensus such as the many questions that still remain to be clarified regarding the best therapeutic approach.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Improve skills to better evaluate the surgical options in fertility-threatening tubal and uterine diseases;
- Increase knowledge about how to select the correct surgical treatment of myomas, endometriosis and hydrosalpinxs;
- Acquire a better understanding to compare surgical and medical therapeutic options to treat infertility caused by endometriosis, PCOS or unknown etiology;
Serono Symposia International Foundation (www.seronosymposia.org) will submit this program “Surgery and Reproduction: A new possibility or an open question?” (October 5-6, 2007 – Rome, Italy) for accreditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), The Royal College of Physicans, London, and the Italian Ministry of Health.
