The aim of the symposium was to compare international practice in ART considering how to monitor, establish and share best practices. It reflected on international differences in clinical practice focusing particularly on Europe, USA, and Australia considering the challenge and benefits of international infertility data collation. The value of infertility data to predict the need and choice of treatment with minimum morbidity was presented as the foundation for clinical decision-making.

OBJECTIVES
After the end of this symposium the participants were able to:
- Appreciate the wide international variation in Assisted Reproduction practice
- Recognise the variation in meaning of Assisted Reproduction terminology that we use in daily practice
- Understand the importance and logistics of Assisted Reproduction national data registries
- Have a vision of how modern information technology may help improve the quality of clinical care
