The Aim of this Conference is to create an interdisciplinary forum for discussing the clinical as well as the social implications of possible gene-environment interaction in relation to the most common human reproductive disorders: infertility, endocrine disturbances, cancer and malformations of genital organs as well as the pharmacogenetic aspects of treatment of these conditions.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After attending this Conference the participants will have an updated knowledge on:
- Epidemiological trends in the most common disturbances of human reproductive function;
- The impact of social and life-style related factors on fertility;
- Mechanistic and epidemiological aspects of studying gene-environment interaction in relation to reproductive disorders;
- The potential risks of utilizing for assisted reproduction sperms with genetic or epigenetic changes due to environmental exposure;
- Clinical and public health implications of gene-environment-lifestyle interaction in relation to human reproductive health.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Clinicians (gynaecologists, andrologists, endocrinologists, paediatric endocrinologists, oncologists), experts in genetics, environmental and occupational medicine, basic scientists, epidemiologists, statisticians and people within the area of public health.
