Serono Symposia International pre-congress course during the World IVF Congress
Assisted reproductive technologies include ovarian stimulation in the majority of the cases. In recent years, experience accumulated in the treatment of infertile couples has led to the individualization of ovarian stimulation protocols. This symposium proposed a review of the different stimulation regimens based on clinical experience. The protocols available in IVF were presented, as well as the specific problem of poor responders and PCO patients. An update on the LH role in ovarian stimulation, luteal phase supplementation and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome was also discussed.
