The aim of this symposium is to have an overview on medical, social and ethical issues as well as basic science related to infertility and its treatment with a special focus on Asia. All the therapeutic option available will be presented including approach to subgroup of patients, prediction of success and prevention of main adverse events. Furthermore, an extensive update on embryologic and genetic procedures employed in ART will be provided. Future horizons in research will be presented, from stem cells use to innovation in drug development.

OBJECTIVES

After attending this symposium, the participants will have an updated knowledge on:

  • Factors influencing fertility in males and females, from genetics to environment.
  • Medical, social and ethical aspects related to infertility management, worldwide and in Asia.
  • Protocols of ovulation induction ovarian stimulation, including management of special subgroups, prevention of adverse events and prediction of response.
  • Improvement of implantation and support to the luteal phase
  • Last Latest improvements in genetic and embryologic procedures applied in ART
  • Prevention and management of treatment side effects such as OHSS
