The goal of this program was to provide physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare practitioners involved in Reproductive Medicine with the differential diagnosis of azoospermia and to briefly review some of the treatment options available.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
- Describe male reproductive anatomy and function.
- Construct a differential diagnosis of azoospermia based upon the semen volume and pH.
- Subdivide the main diagnostic categories into distinct entities based upon the results of additional tests and physical examination findings.
- Interpret the main subtypes of pathological testicular histology.
- Devise a therapeutic plan for the azoospermic male.
