Biography

Harvey J. Kliman, M.D., Ph.D. is Research Scientist and Director of the Reproductive and Placental Research Unit, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. Prior to joining Yale University in 1991, Dr. Kliman held the positions of Research Associate and Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Dr. Kliman has co-authored numerous journal articles and abstracts and has contributed chapters to more than a dozen medical books. In addition to his work and writing contributions, Dr. Kliman has been awarded six patents in medicine between 1994 and 1998.

Dr. Kliman obtained his Ph.D. and M.D. from the University of Chicago in 1980 and 1981, respectively. He completed his Residency in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
