We took the opportuity of this workshop to talk to Amy Perrin Ross (Immediate Past President of the International Organization of MS Nurses) about the role of MS nurses and the skills they need to do their jobs. You can see the video of the interview here

Aim of the workshop
This was an educational program created to encourage the dissemination of scientific knowledge among nurses working in the field of multiple sclerosis (MS). Disease management in research and clinical practice, with a special emphasis on the nurses’ crucial role, was reviewed. Management of main signs and symptoms of the disease, such as spasticity, pain, psychosocial distress, cognitive impairment and genitourinary problems were addressed both from the physician and nurse perspective.
Learning objectives
At the conclusion of this Workshop, participants will:
- Be updated on diagnostic tools used to define physical and psychological disorders related to MS
- Be able to implement in their practice the most advanced tools in disease management
- Have an updated knowledge of the management of current treatment and experimental therapies and clinical trials in Multiple Sclerosis
Target audience
Nurses involved in the treatment of persons with Multiple Sclerosis.
This continuing education activity has been approved by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) for 6.45 International Continuing Nursing Education Credits (ICNECs).
