Aim of the workshop
This is an educational program created to encourage the dissemination of scientific knowledge among nurses working in the field of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Disease management in research and clinical practice, with a special emphasis on the nurses’ crucial role, will be reviewed. Management of main signs and symptoms of the disease, such as spasticity, pain, psychosocial distress, cognitive impairment and genitourinary problems will be addressed both from the physician and nurse perspective.
Learning objectives
At the conclusion of this Workshop, participants will:
- Be updated on diagnostic tools used to define physical and psychological disorders related to MS
- Be able to implement in their practice the most advanced tools in disease management
- Have an updated knowledge of the management of current treatment and experimental therapies and clinical trials in Multiple Sclerosis
Target audience
Nurses involved in the treatment of persons with Multiple Sclerosis.
