MS Academia - Multiple Sclerosis Advanced Course 2009

This was an educational programme created to encourage the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of MS. It  stressed the benefits of new diagnostic tools for defining the natural history of MS and disease activity monitoring.  Current diagnostic criteria for MS were also reviewed in the light of new medical evidence.  A review of recent clinical trials and treatment optimisation guidelines was also presented.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Optimize the use of MS diagnostic criteria
  • Improve the management of MRI or biological markers in the disease diagnosis and monitoring
  • Evaluate the proper efficacy/safety balance of available treatments
  • Personalize treatment to improve efficacy

TARGET AUDIENCE    

This programme is appropriate for all clinicians and scientists who are interested in Multiple Sclerosis.
