Learning about
Biological basis of progressive MS

Montreal, Canada
November 6, 2010

Aim of the symposium

Although physicians and scientists working in multiple sclerosis (MS) have devoted enormous efforts to studying the progressive forms of MS, many aspects of these conditions remain obscure. On the threshold of a new era in the management of the less severe forms of MS, when more aggressive therapy will be able to markedly reduce or suppress disease activity, progressive forms of MS remain a challenging issue for health care professionals and a heavy burden for patients.

The aim of this symposium is to gather together some of the most experienced scientists in this field in order to discuss issues and propose solutions for improving the management of progressive forms of MS in research and clinical practice.

Learning objectives

Participants in this Symposium will:

  • Be updated on latest achievements on pathophysiology and pathology of progressive forms of MS
  • Be informed about innovative diagnostic approaches
  • Discuss present and innovative options for treatment of progressive forms of MS

Target audience

Clinicians and scientists working in MS
