Chronic MS Therapy - Patient Retention and Side Effects Management
This workshop was designed to provide nurses who treat Multiple Sclerosis patients with up-to-date information on the latest care options available. It focused on the treatment of therapy side effects from the nursing perspective.
The workshop used a combination of lectures and interactive working groups to develop effective strategies for nurses to cope with these topics.
OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this workshop, the participant was be able to:
- Understand the psychological impacts of chronic care on patients and care givers.
- Develop strategies to encourage patients to remain on needed treatment.
Application for accreditation has been made to the European Federation of Neurological Societies.
