The aim of this symposium is to produce a highly scientific and interesting program covering aspects concerning epidemiology, clinical aspects, current treatment options and future therapies in MS, through a balanced agenda of lectures and clinical vignettes. This program is designed to improve the working knowledge and skills of general neurologists interested in the care of Multiple Sclerosis patients.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course the attendees will be able:

  • To know the epidemiology of Multiple Sclerosis
  • To understand the immunopathological mechanisms
  • To know and to apply the current diagnostic criteria
  • To evaluate and to use the available therapeutic options
  • To know the impact of cognitive impairment in MS
  • To know the current concepts about regenerative medicine and emerging therapies in Neurology
