Improving outcomes in MS

This symposium was designed to improve the working knowledge and skills of clinicians treating patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). The programme addressed improving outcomes in multiple sclerosis focusing on disease modifying therapies and treatment optimisation in MS. The symposium also gave some insights in databasing in MS.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this course the participant was able to:

  • Better understand the disease and the way disease modifying drugs (DMDs) combat it;
  • Be able to discuss recent developments relating to high-dose interferon treatment in relapsing MS;
  • Understand the benefits and advantages that databasing and patient registries can offer to help MS clinical research and improve the management of MS and MS patients.

This program “Improving outcomes in MS” was submitted for accreditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).
