6th MS Nurse Workshop

This is an educational programme created to encourage the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of MS.  The concept of treatment optimization and the nurse’s role in treatment is the central theme of the workshop, however, other topics, such as rehabilitation, measurement of treatment outcomes and intimacy and social support are also highlighted.

OBJECTIVES

After the conclusion of this conference, the participants will have an updated knowledge of:

  • The basic concepts of treatment optimization.
  • Practical examples of treatment optimization.
  • How and why to measure treatment outcomes for patients with MS.
  • How MRI can be used to aid in both diagnosis and treatment of MS.
  • MS and family concerns, sexual intimacy and family planning and developing a social support network.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Nurses involved in the treatment of persons with Multiple Sclerosis.
