4th MS Nurse Workshop on the European Nurses Care Plan in MS

This MS Nurse Workshop was designed to provide nurses who treat Multiple Sclerosis patients with up-to-date information on the latest care options available. The workshop combined lectures, interactive working groups and panel discussions to help nurses effectively cope with MS patients. Opportunity for interaction and questions comprised a significant amount of program time.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this course the participant was able to:

  • Describe the elements of symptom management;
  • Apply nursing care plans to MS;
  • Compare the various disease modifying therapies and how to use them;
  • Identify the psychosocial aspects of MS;
  • Describe the quality of life issues related to MS;
  • Define the role of rehabilitation therapy in MS.

 
ACCREDITATION

This offering of up to 6.6 contact hours is provided by Serono Symposia International, Inc., which is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Serono Symposia International, Inc., is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 8210. Successful completion of this program includes filling out an evaluation form. Statement of credit will bel mailed to all participants within four weeks of the program date.
