11th International MS Nurse Workshop

This was an educational program created to encourage the dissemination of scientific knowledge among nurses from all over the world in the field of MS. Disease management in research and clinical practice, with a special emphasis on the nurses’ crucial role, will be reviewed. Management of main signs and symptoms of the disease, such as spasticity, pain, psychosocial distress, cognitive impairment and genitourinary problems will be addressed both from the physician and nurse perspective.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this workshop, the participant will:

  • Be updated on diagnostic tools used to define physical and psychological disorders related to MS;
  • Be able to implement the most advanced tools in disease management in their practice;
  • Have an updated knowledge of the management of experimental therapies and clinical trials in Multiple Sclerosis.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Nurses and healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of persons with Multiple Sclerosis.

 
ACCREDITATION

Serono Symposia International Foundation (www.seronosymposia.org) will submit this program for CME accreditation to the International Council of Nurses.
