Dr. Jaume Sastre-Garriga serves now as a neurologist at the Unitat de Neuroimmunologia Clínica (UNIC), Hospital Vall d’Hebron (Barcelona) and holds an Honorary Research Fellowship to the Neurorehabilitation Unit from the Institute of Neurology (University College of London). He is coauthor of 39 peer-reviewed papers and 5 book chapters or monographies; he has coauthored 31 oral presentations and more than 50 poster presentations at national and international conferences. He serves as reviewer for Multiple Sclerosis, Archives of Neurology, Neurología and for the Spanish granting body Fondo de Investigaciones Sanitarias (FIS). He has served as faculty or organizer in 28 lectures both to health professionals and to patients and relatives organizations. His main interests are magnetic resonance imaging new techniques (functional MRI and volumetry) and neurorehabilitation with a special focus on the primary progressive forms of MS.
