Mark Freedman

Mark Freedman is a Professor of Medicine (Neurology) at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and is also Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Research Unit at the Ottawa Hospital. His basic research is in the immunopathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS), with particular emphasis on the role of gdT-cells, cytokines and heat shock protein interactions. He has more than 15 years of experience in the management of patients with MS and is a principal investigator on more than a dozen clinical trials with new agents in MS.
