The goal of this program was to provide nurses, physicians and pharmacists with a general overview of multiple sclerosis and some insight into their roles and responsibilities in its management.


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss the four disease classifications of multiple sclerosis.
  • Cite four common symptoms of MS.
  • List three immunomodulating therapies to treat relapsing forms of MS.
  • Describe two psychosocial issues common to multiple sclerosis.
  • Assess the impact of learned information on the provider’s contribution to MS care.
  • Explain the effect of hope on patients and their families.
