  • The basic mechanisms involved in the neuropeptide-gene expression;
  • Pituitary cell development including their alterations in disease states and pituitary stem-cells;
  • Molecular taxonomy of growth-hormone effects and new therapeutic indications;
  • The significance of IGF-1 and its binding proteins in health and disease.

  • The relationship between growth hormone and metabolic status
  • Basic mechanisms involved in somatotroph cell development
  • Newer approaches for the understanding of somatotroph cell biology and GH actions.
  • The characterization of pituitary stem cells and the use of micro arrays
  • Biological consequences of GH-IGF-1 alterations and new therapeutic indications of GH
