This two-day educational program was designed to enhance the exchange of ideas and research collaboration in pediatric endocrinology by bringing together investigators and clinicians from across Europe.
OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- Acquire insight into newly recognized mechanisms of pathogenesis in various disorders of the hormonal system in children and adolescents.
- Discuss new means of treatment and analyzing outcomes.
- Identify epidemiological investigations in rare childhood disorders of the hormonal system.
- Describe new results in the pathogenesis of specific hormonal disturbances in childhood at the cellular/molecular level.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Paediatric endocrinologists, diabetologists, and promising young scientists and clinicians directly involved in the care of children and adolescents with hormonal disorders.
This course is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.be.
The 6th Workshop on Clinical Paediatric Endocrinology is designated for a maximum of 12 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
EACCME credits are recognized as Physician’s Recognition Award by the American Medical Association.
